I’m all over Google? And here I’d been proud of myself for keeping myself relatively Google-free. :-)

As for the site in question:
Hint #1: It predates the Wayback machine, which started in (I believe) 1995.
Hint #2: If you look hard enuogh, you can still find references to it, in stale web pages, and other forms of media.
